Both movies were directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, who later went on to direct other off-beat comedies like Get Shorty, Wild Wild West, and the Men in Black trilogy. Just like its predecessor, the movie was based on the classic comic strip series written and illustrated by Charles Addams, and it starred Raul Julia and Angelic Huston as the heads of the Addams household, Gomez and Morticia. The movie also featured Christopher Lloyd, reprising his role as Uncle Fester, and introduced Joan Cusack as a new character, Debbie Jellinsky, a sexy murderess determined to get her hands on the Addams’ fortune by seducing Fester.
